
Coach Heather Minnis (2005-present) and Coach Don Smith (2005-2015) began the Dynamite Volleyball Club in fall 2005 to offer volleyball players in the Dickson, TN, area an opportunity to continue to play volleyball after their school seasons had ended. The club has continued to grow and has tryouts for girls from Dickson and its surrounding counties. Also, DVC offers volleyball skills clinics throughout the year for girls who want to learn the fundamentals of volleyball.
COACH MINNIS

Coach Heather Minnis has been the Dynamite Volleyball Director and Head Coach for 15 seasons (2005-present). She has coached 23 seasons as the Dickson Middle School Head Coach where she started the program (and the first volleyball program in Dickson County, TN) in August 1998. Some of her teams' accomplishments include 10 varsity conference titles (in a conference 2000-2012) MCAC 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2009, & 2010; BIG SOUTH 2011 & 2012. Sonic Invitational Champs 2006 & 2008; Sonic Invitational Runner-up 2001, 2002, 2005, & 2009; Mule Town Classic Champs 2010 & 2011; TMSAA Sectional Champs 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, & 2017; Cumberland University Middle School Runner-up 2005, 2006, & 2014. Lebanon High School Blue Devil Bash Runner-up 2013; TMSAA Sectional Runner-Up 2013 & 2014. Cumberland University Tournament Champs 2016. DCA Tourney Champs 2018.
Travel team accomplishments include 2010 141 team Valentine's Day Fling Champs. 2013 161 team President's Day Battle Champions and Far Out Festival Champs. 2014 171 team 3rd out of 43 at SRVA Regionals; 2015 141 St. Patty's Tourney Champs. 2016 151 team Club West Classic Champs, Madness in the Mountains Runner-Up, and Battleground Explosion Runner-UP. 2017 161 team Battlleground Explosion Champs; Runner UP Club West Challenge, Music City Block Party, and Presiden'ts Day in the Music City. 2018 17U team wins SRVA Regionals Club Division. 2018 141 Madness in the Mountains and Music City Champs. 2019 18U team Runner-Up SRVA Regionals Club Division.

Coach Minnis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in English Education from Belmont University. She is married to James Minnis (23 yrs) and has a daughter (19 and a son (16).
